When to stop cuddling 8mo to sleep?
So my wife and I are proud parents to an 8mo little boy. Every night one of us is on bedtime duty and puts our son down with a bottle and cuddling him to sleep. Shortly after he falls asleep, we put him in the pack and play next to our bed and he’s out for hours. He falls asleep quickly fortunately, but lately he’s been waking up after 3 or 4 hours and can only be put back down by cuddling him back to sleep.
I can see that this will turn into a habit as he gets a little older, but I’d like to break it before he gets too dependent on one of us cuddling him to sleep so we can eventually transition him into the crib in his own room.
My ask is how when should we start putting him in his own room, and when/how do we stop cuddling him to sleep?
