PTSD After Cymbalta Withdrawl Syndrome?
About a year ago, I managed to successfully get off of Cymbalta after being on it for about 6 months. While I was cutting down, I had the worse withdrawal symptoms such as brain zaps every few minutes, room spinning, major depression, and just didn't feel like I was me anymore. I initially tried to stop cold turkey but wasn't successful, and I had to get back on. I tried to cut down, and experience more withdrawal symptoms afterward. This process of trying to stop went on for about 3 months. I ended up finally getting on the Prozac bridge, then went to St. John's Wart for a bit afterward.
My doctor had made NO warning about letting me know how bad it would be and how long it would take for me to get off of Cymbalta.
Now I'm afraid and anxious about accepting ANY new medication from doctors. I don't know if this is PTSD or just distrust. I say it might be PTSD because, for a long time, I was going through trauma from withdrawing.
Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone got back on any new medications after getting off of Cymbalta?
