can someone help me?

so i cant really show a photo of my hair for personal reasons, but its is like pin straight at the top and it gets curly at the bottom. i think its so weird, and when i do a curly routine, i never get the volume at the top because its straight. i can answer questions to go more in depth with what i have going on with my hair if you guys have any, but im so sick of it but i dont really want to get a perm cause its just weird yk.
