2022 and later models throttle response and seats comfort
Wtf is the throttle response? I’ve driven my friend’s parent’s CRVs (they have the 2022 and 2023 iirc) and dear lord, I’ve genuinely counted nearly 1 full second between pressing the gas and the car(s) starting to move. It nearly got me into an accident when I was trying to turn left in a busy intersection and the car did nothing. I’ve found you can stomp on the gas repeatedly to sort of cajole the car into moving, but no one should have to do that especially an ordinary driver. Drive and Sport mode don’t address the issue at all, just give you different amounts of power once you’re already accelerating. Also the seats SUCK, I have genuine lower back pain from them and have to use a seat pad now, but this might be more subjective. I feel like I’m insane for this because said friend’s parents don’t know what on earth I’m on about. Has anyone else noticed this?
Rest of the car’s fire tho. The cockpit and infotainment buttons are unique and easy to use without taking your eyes off the road, the sound system is genuinely one of the best I’ve heard in an economy car in a long while, and the car feels very light and nippy in traffic (again, once you’re already traveling with some speed)
