Patient binge eating everything
So I’m 1:1 and my patient is confused. Anyways he literally eats everything in sight and I’m trying to pace him because he’s had 10-12 packs of graham crackers, 3 packs of peanut butter crackers, 7 ice cream cups, and 4 ginger ale. I came up with an excuse why he can’t have more ice cream yet (I just said they ran out and have to get more) but after saying that 4 times he calls out. Then they bring him one then he ask me to get another one and I can’t say we ran out because I said that already and so I call and ask and the receptionist gives me attitude and I’m like what am I supposed to do. I have now hid the snacks to help him not go thru so many at a time. He doesn’t really understand that there’s only so much we can give him since we have many patients on the floor and all the other sitters spoil him and give him more than enough. I just need advice on what to do in this situation. He’s not diabetic or obese but like I don’t want him to get sick.
