Any recommendations for “pursuit of forbidden knowledge” literature?

So I’m currently working on a senior project for my school and I chose to do mine over “the pursuit of forbidden knowledge in literature” I have to make a 12 page essay (though double space so basically 6 pages) and a presentation. I have the easy Adam & Eve, Dr Faustus, Frankenstein, Prometheus, and Call of Cthulhu. But I’m looking for anymore recommendations. I also found a couple articles discussing the subject but not much.
