The Reviews in the Community are SO Short-Sighted
These reviews are missing the point.
Civ 7, like the game itself, is never a finished product. It's raw clay that is meant to be shaped over time with use and feedback.
Every early version of this game looks more or less like this - a foundation of concepts that we work with toward refining the gameplay into something spectacular. Civ 6 was a masterpiece - but not at launch. At launch it was "raw clay" and didn't become anything close to what it is today without numerous DLC updates and let's face it - the Mod community.
When I'm looking at this game I'm thinking one thing "Holy cow what will we be able to do with this when we mod the hell out of it?" The answer is - a lot.
I agree with ALL of your critiques about the base game as it stands today - and I did in Civ 6 when it launched.
But instead of us ganging up on the developers, who presumably want to build an incredible game, let's work with them (and the Mod community especially) to build wish lists and detailed feature requests that are reasonable.
What you see is just what you get "today". It's rough. Let's polish it up together.
