What someone commented to me when I mentioned I've been eating 35-40g of 85% Dark Chocolate daily for almost 2 years
They told me:
"Given how much heavy metals you have accumulated by now, seek an integrative doctor for heavy metal chelation and stop chocolate for now. I am thankful that after I had covid, I lost my taste for super dark chocolate and a single Lindt bar would last me more than a week….but from now on I will probably select Australian grown chocolate which is free from heavy metals."
I mean is it seriously this bad? This must be fear mongering, no? The 85% chocolate I eat is in Spain, so regulated by the EU, and while originally I thought it's just fear mongering (to justify my love of chocolate), these comments do scare me. What does the science say?
