I purchased this truck on Sunday for $3200 with 175,000 miles and a clean title. Right off the bat, I noticed a crack along the bottom of the front window (you can see it close up or when inside), the headlights weren’t working (only with high beams), and there was a small oil leak near the right side of the wheel. I bought it because I believe it has the potential to sell for at least $4200-$4500.

I had my mechanic check everything out, and he’s addressing the issues: fixing the lights (bad wiring), sealing the oil leak (patching and adding oil), and replacing the oxygen sensor to clear the check engine light. All of this will cost me under $500.

What do you all think? I’ve learned that before flipping a vehicle, I need to have a checklist to make sure I don’t miss anything. It’s a learning process, but I’d rather learn and apply it to my next flip. the Kelly Blue Book price for the truck is listed as “fair” condition.
