What came into my wardrobe this winter [December - February] and why

Blue jeans; I wanted a longer pair of jeans to wear in winter. These were 29 inches while my others were 27. They still ended up not long enough to cover my ankles, but I liked them anyway so I kept them. I’ve still been able to wear them most of winter as it’s not too cold where I live, I expect them to be versatile for all seasons.

Brown cords and ecru jeans; same reason, but now with a better understanding of my inseam needs. They are 33 and 32 inch inseams, perfect to wear with my heeled boots or just brushing the floor in flats. I had been looking for those color bottoms for a while, and it just happened that this winter I found the right version of both (I’ve bought and returned others that weren’t right in the past).

Navy tank and t shirt; these are items I already had 1 of each, but I discovered I would prefer multiple of 1 color basic (navy) instead of a variety. I got one extra tank and two extra tees of the same style and brand off of Poshmark as I found them. I could have waited on the tank until summer, but it didn’t hurt my budget so I did it early. These were purely a practical laundry inventory purchase, they don’t add new style to my wardrobe.

Denim/chambray tops; I’m a big fan of denim tops and I got these on Poshmark to try out different weights and washes. I like both and it’s nice to have the options. I do have two other older ones in different cuts and washes, I find this is a staple of my personal style.

Beige cardigan; a random in person find, but one of those perfect for me pieces I didn’t want to pass on. I had the budget in my allowance, so I got it. More impulsive than my usual ways, but when you know you know sometimes. Very happy with it, no regrets.

Boots; these were a Christmas gift, but one I specifically asked for. I’ve been wearing them about half of the days of winter so far, they are so comfortable to wear, a great addition and they go with my new longer pants perfectly.
