M5 vs 60d

I’m gonna travel to Asia and I’m usually a analog shooter, but I want to bring something digital with me that’s not breaking the bank. So I’m familiar with the canon m5 with the sigma 1.4 but I’m getting recommended the 60d by friends. I’m not really into filming and it’s used for photography. Can someone help me recommend a system for this trip? I just need more opinions I guess.
