Women Supporting Women
I deeply regret not taking more screenshots. You'll inevitably find this pattern on any of Bri's videos: a sea of sycophantic comments, showering (but not a real shower because that is a well-documented phobia of Bri’s) her with praise that rings hollow. It's clear many commenters are simply echoing sentiments Bri herself would prefer to hear.
However, this particular user offered constructive advice – a suggestion for moving on. And what follows? The predictable chorus of 'Cool moms support women...try harder, do better.'
I really do not understand what was wrong with the advice about moving on, so much to the point that the commenter, as a female herself, should “do better”. Why should I blindly support Bri simply because she shares my gender? Label me a 'non-girl's girl' if you must, but I refuse to endorse someone I find deeply problematic. My womanhood does not absolve her from accountability for her actions. Please note that I did not even comment on the TikTok, but I do not understand why I must support her simply because she is female.
It's time to move beyond this toxic notion of unconditional female solidarity. True support lies in honest feedback and constructive criticism, not in blind adoration.
