Bose over-ear headphones without ANC?
Hey all.
I've somehow misplaced my long-loved Bose earbuds and am in desperate need of some new ones. Unfortunately, they don't make the same style anymore and I'm keen to try an over-ear style this time. I have always loved the Bose buds I've had in the past, but the trouble is, virtually all newer models of the over-ears come with ANC and I'm just not a fan. If I was flying regularly I might use it more, but for everyday use, I honestly find it kind of nauseating and uncomfortable. It gives me a sort of "pressure in the head" feeling which I just don't like.
Anyway, I've done a little bit of research but it's kind of hard to keep all the models and options sorted, and I'm wondering if anyone here knows which recent models have the option of turning off ANC completely. I know they have the "awareness" mode options (or whatever it's called), but I really don't like that either. I'd prefer to just turn those off completely and have the awesome Bose sound quality I love and deal with normal background noise filtering in.
Does anyone have any insights?
I narrowed in on the QC and QCII models, and have found a few used versions off Marketplace, but I'm just wondering if anyone might have more info before I buy anything. It'd be nice to get something brand new instead of used a) for the "ew" factor, and b) for warranty and duration of use and all that.
Thanks, Internet Friends! 😊
