Les Misérables ending

No ending has ever shattered me quite like that, I read it over a couple of months, I knew the ending as I'd seen the musical so there was no plot twist. I still cried non-stop for the last 40 pages or so. If you haven't read it I can't suggest it enough, it's monumental but worth every page. The whole book is incredible and written beautifully (though the pacing is a pain at times with Hugo going on random philosophy/history/geography rants) but the payoff of the ending alone makes it worthwhile.
