My Game/Puzzle Room in Tennessee

We decided to do a game room instead of a formal dining room, and I love it! I started gaming in about 2005 (Catan was my gateway) when the best place for a deal was Tanga. The collection has grown steadily since then. The built-in shelves were built specifically to hold board games when we designed the house. The other shelf unit we inherited when my mom passed way, along with the second table which I use for puzzles and the chairs. The square carom board is from my in-law’s family and we think it’s about 100 years old! The glass top table is a good size, but I don’t love the glass (gets messy and it’s very loud with dice) but we already had it and it fits well, so we use it.

Cats are included for scale. Also, I know I don’t have the games organized by box size or genre, but that doesn’t bother me. The lower cabinets under the built ins are primarily little kid games, everything else is mixed. Not pictured are minis based games (heroscape and X-wing v1.0 primarily), a bunch of small/card games, puzzles, etc.

I don’t play a ton currently, but we used to play every week with friends before they moved away (CURSE YOU CHRIS!!!). I have 4 kids that play, along with my wife and occasional get-togethers with other couples or guys to play. Hopefully it will pick up this year!
