Brass Birmingham for two?

I've been interested in Brass Birmingham for awhile, but I'm hearing that it's not great at two players. What's your experience? We are mostly just us two, but we do go to meet-ups a few times a month. Not many like to play the same game over and over (understandably), so is it worthwhile at 2, or no?
