Say hello to my new find
For good two years, I've been on the lookout for a few different bikes to choose from. And here she is! A 2008 BMW HP2 Sport.
My 1979 BMW R45 (custom-made to 700cc with 32mm carburetors) serves me well, but I wanted to go for more. BMW HP2 Sport and Moto Guzzi 1400 Audace Carbon have intrigued me for some time, and lo and behold, on the same week, both of them came for sale. I had to make up my mind, and I believe I didn't choose wrong. Here she is waiting for the ride home and to wait for spring for good 2 more months.
It's 2008 (#188) with 25,000 km. Fully original. I would like to find a carbon fiber hugger to keep the rear more clean on a wet day. Otherwise I hope it serves me well.
And no, I'm not trading in my '79 Airhead. 😊 It's a keeper too.
