Ranked SR gain

Curious if other people are having a similar situation / may know hey it’s happening?

Tangent / situation: I understand that depending on your placement you can get more SR but I placed 1-2 many games and went on 3 separate win streaks (two 5 game streaks) with my highest SR gain, on a single game, from all of that being 49. In that same time I played with my friend and he jumped from bronze 1 to silver 3, while I managed to gain half way up gold 1. I played a game with another gold friend and he gains 50 - 70 SR. When I play solo I still get 30.

TLDR: I only gain on average 30 - 40 SR on a win for gold even when I place top 1-2. Other friends in Gold earn around 50-70.
