What is having longer hypomanic episodes (a month or more) like?

I’ve read that some people have hypomanic episodes for months and I couldn’t even imagine what that’s like. I’ve never had one that lasted over a week and a half because my brain eventually catches up with my body (in terms of being exhausted) by then. This is when it goes from feeling “tired and wired” to the crash.

Does the momentum keep on going or do you have slumps that your body eventually pushes through? Does it get harder and harder to reel in or calm down as time passes, compared to when you have shorter episodes?
