Cannot use a flat bar anymore

I bought a road bike with drop bars, and started enjoying long distance rides at at high speed.

I now want to rent a bike to cycle on vacation but they only have flat bar mountain bikes or anything with drops is 3 times the price. I have become a snob but i'm cheap...

How do i become a regular flat bar enjoyer again?
