help is this fin rot

so ive noticed my bettas tail has missing spots as if it were slowly rotting away but i can’t tell if it’s fin rot or not because my fish isn’t showing any signs of sickness, and i honestly don’t know if the tail got torn or something but it looks like he’s losing more and more of his tail in some spots? but the other fins are completely fine besides the large one
