I hate physical movement- how can I change?
I (32F) extremely dislike physical activity, and I need to change!
Im reasonably healthy: 5'7" 150lbs, with no physical limitations. I have gone through periods in my life where I am more active and have a movement routine, but nothing sticks longer than a few months.
The activities I tend to enjoy most and can stick with the longest are social. Walking or hiking with friends, beer-league volleyball, slow paced yoga classes, rock climbing, etc.
Unfortunately, I moved away from my active friends about 5 years ago. Many gyms near me that have classes where I could meet people are out of budget.
I've tried yoga and stretching at home, but I never keep it up.
I walk my dog 2x a day (which I HATE in winter especially).
I need suggestions on what I can try to overcome my dread and dislike, and reach a place where I can be active regularly. If I stay sedentary I know it will lead to serious health concerns in the future.
