Small shows / venues - Dec. 9 & 10

I live in South Bay, and I’m interested in finding some bars / venues that regularly host smaller bands. I’d love to find a place that has smaller alt rock / rock groups or places that host some garage/house/EDM. Anything come to mind in general? Anything going on this weekend? Really willing to go anywhere except drive into the city if at all possible.
