Thoughts on 3-Year vs 4-Year Programs?
I'm trying to decide between two schools (one is a 3-year and one is a 4-year). Obviously, a 3-year option saves a year of tuition and gets you into the job market faster. However, I've noticed there's some stigma around 3-year programs.
I'm looking for feedback from those who have navigated this decision, as well as insights from professionals involved in hiring.
Questions:
- Are 3-year programs still looked at negatively?
- Does a 3-year program make it more challenging to secure externships or land a job?
- For those currently in a 3-year program have you found it feasible to work part-time during school?
- How did you manage the accelerated pace of a 3-year program, and do you feel it impacted the depth of your learning?
Any thoughts or personal experiences would be really appreciated!
