Medical sedation under public health system
Sorry I know this might not be the place to ask but it's so hard to get a hold of or speak to a doctor without weeks of waiting , but I wonder if anyone can help me.
I need to get my mirina (IUD) replaced, but last time I got it it was so painful and difficult that I went into shock and had genuine trauma from it. Now, I need it replaced but I'm terrified to do it because of lack of painkillers.
I could get it done with sedation in a private place but it will cost up to and above $1000.
The mirena is free publicly but they offer no sedation, and the only pain killers are over the counter ibuprofen and panadol 🙄
...I'm terrified but I just don't have the money for private Healthcare, do any public services offer any other kind of sedation or stronger painkillers?
