In American English, is dub or sub better?

I always assumed dub was better because the names are in German and English is closer to German than Japanese to German.

In sub, when Reiner, Bertholdt, Eren, and Armin train the ODM, Armin is translated to say "pretty awesome."

In dub, when Reiner and Eren fight for the first time after reveal, Armin says "holy crap."

Maybe I'm reading too much into Armin, but I understood he likes to be super intellectual and formal. So, he wouldn't say either of those things.

But in sub, Eren's roar is definitely way better.
