Should I read the bible?

I'm considering reading the worst fiction book ever made, so that I can actually talk with my parents on Sunday. I'm a relatively fast reader and could get through it in a week or two. Maybe they would understand that I tried religion and it didn't work, so they would stop arguing against me about it. I also want to be passive agressive in a way that they cant get mad at me about. Idk do you think its a good Idea? (btw they really want me to be a christian so much so that they sent me to confirmation camp to "Make me christian" )
