Transgender through curiosity?

Hello. I am wondering if there's anyone who's been through this experience of understanding one's gender through curiosity. I am questioning if I'd prefer to be a woman(mtf) or not and I feel unsure on how to proceed with this and I'd like to hear what others experiences about this.
