[S2 act 3 spoilers] FIXING Maddie nolen Dumb HEEL TURN
junior officer nolen is a nothing character that turn into villain with a weak motivation & weak end goal,
her traitorous role affect nothing to the plot only to wasted quickly by main character impenetarble plot armor.
THIS make her inevitable fate become a joke to a lot of people,
and for me, its an assasination of morally lawful good & innocent character
that has been set up since eps 1.
as shown in her introduction she is a person who valued good heart & praised
Vi vigilantism by her own words
through and through we never have her shown ill intention & conflict toward her team
or a HINT that she might have secret agenda, she even turned out to be a good listener and propose a reasonable advice to kitlin.
theres a bit moment with hanging doll in eps 3 that can be used as breaking point or foreshadowing for eventual clash with Jinx.
but thats never happen.
other than that we never get any Notable Feat/Deed From her and its annoyed me,
she only rig the bomb that attached to viktor decoy
(which i think she could do so much more to the plot than that)
-all i heard is that Maddie is Cait's rebound gf therefore moved by petty jealousy the point
of brave enough to kill her (?)
-Noxian secret agent ???
-one frame show a grin therefore she deseved it (?)
reason of betrayal above feel so weak and pathetic i trying to cope about it
if i were to wrote this episode, maybe i'll put her backstory in the prologue to reinforce her reasoning & overall themes of vengeance cycle
(or whatever the season 2 finale trying to say).
then, during siege i'll booked her match against entire good guy cast
as a tough & clever opponent to the point of desperation until Jinx army coming
to Ruin her perfect plan of sabotaging piltover army.
and then, maybe she can have a final moment.
...or not,
she did nothing wrong
