Thought experiment. I need help guys and want some expertise on a question.
So my question is…I shoot generally long range. On my AR which id like to set up for short to intermediate distance (5-500 yards). I am pretty competent with a red dot out to 200-250 yds consistently. My question …. Why or why not is a fixed ten power (swfa) with an RMR a good or bad idea. I RARELY utilize anything in the middle. It’s generally always min or max. So with an LPVO being not great at 1x or max power, does it make sense to cut out the middle and have a two part solution that is good at both but sacrifice, say 2-9x. Can you guys with good feedback on this let me know if this is a bad idea and if so why? I have a PST 1-6 and it’s not bad but I’m faster with the RMR and a lot more precise with my 10x at 800ish yards with my handloads.
