Soundbar EArc Issues

I have the 3rd gen apple tv 4k which is hooked up to my 77inch B3 LG OLED TV in the HDMI port on the tv. Then my Yamaha 209 soundbar is hooked up to the earc hdmi port. The HDMI cables are 4k compatible.

I actually had the same tv with this setup for about a month with no issues with the sound bar. I had to replace that tv and since the new tv I’ve been having issues. The weird thing is sometimes when I turn my tv on the soundbar connects and everything works fine. But sometimes when I turn it on I can’t get it to connect, although eventually it decides to cooperate.

So I’m currently at a loss because if I had it hooked up wrong or had the wrong settings I would think it wouldn’t work at all. But in my case it seems to be random when I turn my tv on whether or not the soundbar will work.
