Anyone who has changed sens after having the same for 2+ years?

I’ve been using the same sens for 3 years and recently I’ve got the idea of changing it by lowering it. I’ve heard some people say that you should hone in on your craft and you’ll be really good. But don’t know if it is true. Anyone else who have changed their sens after a long period and played better with it?
