tournaments for low ranked players?

I was wondering if it's any place low ranked/skilled players (I am Ranked Gold 2 atm) can compete outside of playing ranked? I know it's tournaments for really skilled players such as the Red Bull ones but what about us lesser skilled players? I would also like to possibly be able to win some prize pools if that is possible as well but truthfully it isn't really that important atm.
