Authorized User Membership Fee

I’m so upset right now. I paid off my credit balance before the closing date. I added my husband as an AU on the 28th. I checked my balance on the 28th and 29th and there wasn't a AU membership fee. I wake up today and there is a fee so now it looks like im carrying a balance showing that it is due 02/23 with a minimum payment of $40. I immediately pay it today 01/30. The statement closing date is 01/28 so I thought it was okay.

How will this effect my credit? I NEVER carry a balance.
