In airport benefits for domestic first class at ORD?

I have a flight coming up next month and I'm weighing the benefits of taking AA up on their most recent first class upsell offer - just under $70 once I factor in what it would cost me to check a bag. It's a short flight (ORD to RDU) on an E170, and I think I have a good feel for the onboard benefits (more space is the only one that really stands out to me, there are still solo seats available). I've seen less information about priority check in and security so that's more what I'm curious about (though I don't mind general insight on your personal upgrade math). I'm a very infrequent flyer (like once or twice a decade) so every time I fly it seems like the entire airport experience has changed dramatically.

So, specifically, ORD domestic around 8am on a Friday in late February (flight departs at 10am), checking one bag, is having access to the priority AA or TSA lines likely to have any real impact on my experience? I'll be taking public transit to the airport and stuffing my big Chicago coat into my suitcase once I'm inside at the airport, so as far as I know curbside check in isn't an option, I think I'm gonna be going up to the desk to drop my bag no matter what? Is there anything else I'm not considering?

Thanks!
