Weird experience at Aldi yesterday
Hello, as a broke college student I love to shop at Aldi's and put together some nice meals with cheap but still relatively good quality ingredients, so it's been my go to grocery spot for a while now. However, yesterday we had an experience that we've never had before. As I was checking out, the cashier pointed out that the cilantro I got was spoiled from the back, thankfully she let us replace it. But when we were packing our groceries, my girlfriend noticed a large layer of mold under the top layer of our grapes! We were luckily able to replace that as well (great customer service from that cashier btw). But when we got home, I found out that the seal to the almond milk we bought was still on, but broken. Either I'm the unluckiest guy alive or there were some serious quality control issues at my Aldi's that day, but I'm wondering if anyone else had a similar experience. It may also be attributed to my Aldi's being short staffed, as I often only see one cashier at a time and one stocker out. Needless to say, I'm going to be more vigilant with all my groceries from now on and check them thoroughly, especially things that are easy to gloss over while grabbing stuff off the shelves.
