Someone give it to me strait…

My boyfriend and I recently just broke up, and unfortunately he was paying for the nintendo account on my switch. I’m going to lose everything, arent I ? Once the subscription is up at the end of the year i cant get my island back or my game progress on anything right … its making me not want to play anymore because i know i’m just going to lose everything. Should i just start over now and create my own account? I know it sounds dramatic but im heart broken and i just want to know if theres anything i can do to save my progress. UGH !
