Virtual shifting customization working with Play controllers

Did Zwift accidentally enable customization of virtual shifting with Play controllers in 1.81?

I can select sequential and SRAM style as well as different gearing options now.

The only mention in release notes is:

“Fixed an issue where Zwift Play and Zwift Click could inherit an unsupported shifting style when Zwift Ride was used previously.”

I really hope this is intentional because it works great and I prefer the other options.
