Repair?

Howdy, found this group by accident and remembered I had this tucked away. It's a souvenir I picked up while there.

I lost it during a move, found it again a few years later in a box and it had this damage to the finish. Any ideas on how to fix it, or is it permanent? Also, the little toggle that makes the lid pop doesn't work. Not concerned about value, it's just sentimental. TIA
