Federal employees who switched to MHBP from BCBS Basic

I just wanted to report that my Zepbound prior authorization was submitted at 9:45 a.m. this morning, and it was approved by MHBP less than an hour later.

I had been on Wegovy since 2023 but was regaining my weight. There was a lot of anxiety among feds re: the plan switch, particularly as to whether MHBP would be denying prior authorization requests (like GEHA does, apparently).

I just wanted to share so you know that MHBP is approving prior authorizations for Zepbound and Wegovy and that they’re doing so VERY quickly.
