Split Screen Crashing in menus?

Anyone else have major issues with split screen game crashing for PS5? I've played every borderlands game split screen with my wife since 2 and this game has been unplayable. Game crashes constantly and only happens when opening up the inventory menu. So if we go to look at guns, add character points, or even pull up the map, instant crash. It doesn't happen if someone drops out, only when together. We had over 30 crashes over the first weekend and gave up.

2k support differed me to playstation support because of the error code it gave. I have now gone through all 7 possible methods of fix attempts for this error code with playstation, including a full system restore which SUCKED, and it still hasn't fixed the issue. Both 2k and Playstation are now saying there is no other fix and I'm out of luck. Also can't get a refund because I went physical copy and it's open so I'm only allowed to swap for another version of the same game. So essentially Wonderlands to me is a $60 coaster
