Wealthsimple Visa vs Amex Cobalt

So I heard WS is getting a Visa card which is awesome, but my question is, isn't Amex Cobalt still better in terms of points? 2% cash back is great but why would people make the switch when Amex is practically accepted everywhere in Canada (for the most part)
