How bland WZ is

What happened to all the in game events? Verdask had new POIs added, literally had bombs go off which remade some of the map. We had a die hard event which added a new tower. Caldera had a Godzilla event a few others. Al Mazrah had the shadow siege event which tied into the resurgence maps. Our current map literally only had bunkers for MW and now it’s just a reused base map for BO6. Are they that lazy to add some flare to the game?
