New American Event vehicle?

Has anyone heard of the M1 Thumper? It was an up-gunned prototype based on an M1 chassis. It had a XM291 ATACS 140mm gun with an auto loading system. I feel like it would be extremely interesting to see this added into the American TT or maybe even an event vehicle. What do you guys think?
