Why does The New War quest require a Nekramech? (spoilers for The New War)

I didn't have the Paracesis sword and Ordis just made that for me on his own when it was required equipment, so why on earth did I have to wait three and a half days to build pine cone skull robot just to use it for five minutes and throw it away. It's not like they required me to have one and be comfortable using it, since I started The New War as soon as it finished building and got precisely zero training with it before throwing it into a "life or death for the whole ass solar system" type situation. And they don't even bother trying to justify it like "oh it's too hot in there for your warframe better get in the pinecone" since after it randomly broke at the finish line I just hopped out and was fine (especially since I was playing Wisp and was thus pretty much immortal, fun fact Wisp can apply her Wisps to Lotus and heal her in the boss fight lmao)
