Bladder Stone Radiograph

I am a Vet Tech in Texas, we had a Shih Tzu come in with blood in urine and accidents around the house. Our Doctor was having concerns of pyometra since she’s 12 years of age and not spayed. The client said she only noticed any weird signs a day or two before she came in to the clinic. We did tried to do an ultrasound but couldn’t see much, then tried to get urine but felt a crunch instead so we went ahead and did x-rays to find a bladder full of stones. Afterwards we prescribed her medication to help dissolve the stones and we will have her come in for more routine check ups to see how she’s doing. My main reason for bringing this is up, is how often is everyone else seeing things like that? Where the owner may have taken a bit too long to get their pet proper help or noticing real issues sooner? What’s also a good way we may be could prevent this and possibly educate an owner of signs for something like bladder stones, UTIs, or really anything? Would it even be worth it to at such a point? - First time posting :) If this isn’t allowed or anything please feel free to delete or anything!
