Venting my mattress options?

So, I know some just drill 2" holes all over the plywood support base of their bed for venting to eliminate mold. To avoid the holes I am looking for a plastic mesh sheet about 1/2" thick that will allow air movement/circulation. Dricore is really expensive. Anybody have a successful alternative?
