Upwork verification

I'm new, I finally got a job offer after 1.5 months of trying and as soon as I accepted it, I got the verification notification, The verification process was seriously hell, I stood still in front of camera for over 1 minute multiple times but it didn't snap photo, I tried 7 or 8 times before it finally worked, now I'm curious how long will it take to verify because my work starts next week, will the verification process complete by then. Can anyone share their experiance.
