[Kansas] Weekly Disqualified, But Initial Claim Approval/Investigation Still Pending?
So last week I submitted unemployment. I was let go from my job in december, and was told to apply by my previous employer. When I submitted the claim, the person on the phone told me that it can take a long time, 3 to 5 weeks, for the investigation to be concluded, and then if I was approved I would get back pay for all the weeks. However, I was also told to submit a weekly claim to make sure that I would get back pay. So I did this, submitted all the information, including my job searches and resume filings, no negative things, etc. then when I checked today, it shows that it was disqualified.
The weird thing is, I haven't gotten any letter, email, phone call, etc about the results of the investigation/claim status. So does this mean I am just disqualified because I didn't do something right? Did they already do the investigation and decided not to pay me? Or since the investigation is still going will it just disqualify me until it's done and then I get back pay. I want to make sure before I call in tomorrow so I don't look stupid. The website still shows the claim as active, but again I have received no contact from them since I submitted my claim. Thanks in advance
