Cheapest UK SIM?

As per title, I'm after the cheapest SIM possible for a cyber security project. I need it to basically send and receive half a dozen texts per month and paying £5 for that feels like a rip off! PAYG ones always seem to expire after 30 days so that's not much good either. If you know of anything, please let me know. Thank you.
